Happy [three-day, long, summer-starting] Memorial Day weekend! I hope you have something fun planned. I have an anniversary date, church and a family barbecue on my calendar and laundry, sweeping and budgeting on my to-do list. Oh yeah, and a trip to the library and the grocery store. For the moment, though, my kiddo and I are snuggled on the couch watching cartoons. Because that list and calendar can wait a little while longer!
Just when I got my Google Reader under control, my life spun completely out of control. I’ve read some fantastic blog posts in the past few weeks, but I’m sure I’ve missed lots of others. So please share your favorites in the comment section!

And the website that I can’t stop looking at? Underground New York Public Library is a photo blog featuring pictures of people reading on the subway in New York. The blogger takes pictures and then shares what books each person is reading. It is fascinating and I love it. If you’re a reader or a people-watcher, you will definitely want to check it out.
Finally, in honor of realizing that yesterday marked the 15th anniversary of my high school graduation, here’s a hilarious spoof on the can’t-escape-it song-of-the-moment, We Are Young: We Aren’t Young by Yahoo. It’s not exactly rated PG, but if you are in your 30s and enjoy some dark humor, go watch. The facial expressions of these actors are so spot-on and so stinking funny!
