10 Reasons You Should Read My New Blog

Did you hear the news? Yesterday morning, I launched a new blog dedicated to all things television. It’s called Mama Loves Her Shows, and I can’t wait for you to check it out!

[Okay, let's be honest. When I say “check it out,” I mean “bookmark it, subscribe to it, tweet it and tell all your friends – Facebook and otherwise – about it.” Just so we're clear.]

I’m kind of flying by the seat of my pants with this thing, but I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to have had an idea and followed through on it! And while things may take a few weeks to get settled and organized just so (you know how I like things organized just so), I’d love you to start reading it now anyway.

10 Reasons You Should Read Mama Loves Her Shows

  1. Reviews from the viewpoint of someone you already know and (I hope) trust.
  2. Recaps of your favorite shows from fellow “TV mamas.”
  3. Regular installments of my favorite game and yours: Celebrity Lookalikes!
  4. TV-themed top 10 posts, such as “10 Annoying Characters Who Grew On Me.”
  5. Relevant, non-trashy TV news (and maybe a little gossip). In other words, I read the TV blogs so you don’t have to.
  6. Promos and picks for the upcoming TV season – and the one after that and the one after that…
  7. Deep questions like, “Whatever happened to Saturday morning cartoons?
  8. Important discussions like, “Whoa! The {embarrassing} TV Crushes of My Youth.”
  9. Repeated references to such important television gems as Saved By the Bell, Dawson’s Creek and ABC Family originals.

And last but not least:  Don’t you want a place to talk TV? To chat about your favorite show or actor? You know you do…

What do you think? Is a TV blog your kind of thing? Or, if you’d rather not answer that one, have you had any ideas lately that you need to follow up on?

This post will be linked to Top Ten Tuesday at OhAmanda.

Whew! :) I am in need of a good NCIS marathon!!! Having withdraws at the moment! :)

        • Mary @ Giving Up on Perfect says:

Do you have USA? That channel is almost always playing NCIS! (Although last night I really wanted to watch it, and stupid fake wrestling was on instead. Boo.)

          • Becky says:

I do but I haven’t been home long enough to watch it. :( Yeah Monday nights are not so great on USA with the wrestling. I’m hoping they have one this weekend!

  5. Mindy says:

I’m not a huge TV watcher, but this does sound interesting! Have you seen the previews for “Pan Am?” I have to admit to being excited about that, having been in the airline industry previously.

    • Mary @ Giving Up on Perfect says:

I have just seen one or two things about Pan Am. I’m getting ready to research all the new shows and share my favorites, so I’ll make sure to check that one out!
