Wordless Wednesday: Farmer’s Market

A couple weeks ago, we went to the farmer’s market with my parents and cousin. It should have been a fun little field trip. Instead, it was a hurried, stressful morning with a cranky kid and even more cranky mom. (That would be me.) We didn’t have much time (after finding parking and the bathroom and my parents, we had about 20 minutes of actual browsing, photographing time). And it was about a million degrees with a million percent humidity.

Okay, I might be exaggerating about the weather (a bit), but we really didn’t have much time to enjoy the place, the company or any of it. I guess this means we’ll have to go back for another try! Until then, here are a few photos I snapped:

Do you visit your local farmer’s market?

This post will be linked to Wordless Wednesday and Wordful Wednesday.

That’s making me hungry. And want to visit your farmer’s market. ;)

  2. It looks like you have a great farmer’s market! Those onions are so pretty – it makes me want to buy some. I am definitely hitting up our farmer’s market this weekend…I hope the food looks as good!

  3. Oh… I love that second picture with all the colorful veggies.

  4. Our city’s farmer’s market was walking distance from our old apartment. We used to love to stroll the stalls with our kids and get them a balloon animal from the man positioned at the end of the lane. Now that we’ve moved, I am looking for a fun one to take our kids to. I heard that the city we’re now in has one on Saturdays, so I’m gonna have to check it out this weekend. Although you may have felt harried, the pictures are stunning! I love that one with the rainbow of vegetables. :) Thanks for sharing, Mary!

  5. What an awesome looking FM! Love to have something like this close. Food looks fresh, crisp and so tempting!

  6. Your market has so many more products available. Our local market doens’t seem to have much to sell this year. I am not sure why.

I wonder if it’s been too hot where you live? I know my father-in-law’s garden hasn’t yielded nearly as much produce as normal because of the heat.

  7. I’m planning on getting to our little farmer’s market but it hasn’t happened yet. This post made me realize that I need to make it happen! Maybe Saturday? Love your pictures. Looks like some great eats!

I hope you get a chance to go to your farmer’s market – and I hope it’s not a million degrees out when you do!
