Me, Myself & Lies, Week 3 Recap

I missed you all on tonight’s chat! Here are some questions. Let’s discuss in the comments.

  • Do you have issues? (I sure do!)
  • Does your issue define you or refine you?
  • How can your relationship with or your understanding of God make a difference in your self-talk, when it comes to your issue?

In the video for this week, Jennifer talked about a survey she took of her 3,000 newsletter readers. Those women responded about their various issues, and the top two were self-image and rejection (or a desire to be accepted). Can you relate to that? (I sure can!)

Tell me what you thought about these last two weeks of the study. I’ll be honest: I haven’t finished the homework for Week 3. But I really want to hear about what God’s been teaching you over these last couple of weeks. Please chat with us in the comments!

No problem, Becky Jo. You weren't the only one to miss. ;) And I'm behind, too.

My thought closet is one big mess – and goodness, do I have issues!

  3. Becky says:

I am just starting day 1 of week 3–I guess I'm a little behind your group. But DO have issues with self-esteem–go figure! Enjoying the workbook & all the scriptures immensely! Love the Beth videos, she is darling!

  4. Debbie says:

The issues just keep being revealed! This is one of those books I cannot rush through – it really hits home with me and I'm chewing on it very thoughtfully and I'm so grateful for the lessons I'm learning.

The biggest thing that is settling in with me is this statement from early on: Who I am and What I struggle with are NOT the same thing. What a relief that is! What a blessing that is!

Is this Bible study open to anyone? If so, I'm very interested in joining. I truly believe that God has led me to your blog in response to the cries of my heart. Even if the Bible study is NOT open to additional people, I just want to THANK YOU for sharing about it. I think this book might be God's way of answering one of my personal prayers! :)
