I’ve had the same profile picture for several months now. I realize that using the same pic helps me create a brand and all that. But I’m kind of getting tired of the same pic!
So last night I decided to take a new one. Aside from the spots I saw for about half an hour after my little photo session, I don’t think I did too bad. Check it out:
All right, maybe these pictures are pretty silly. So help me out. A lot of us don’t like pictures of ourselves, so how do you deal with it? How do you get a good picture of yourself?
i DON’T usually get a good pic of myself. at least one that i like. your pictures turned out so cute! i LOVE the very middle one. that’s too cute. and the one above it. and the two to the right of that one. confused yet?! :-) anyway, fun pics!
I just don’t. Sorry to not be much help. But you look good in yours! :) (I’m jealous of your perfect skin — mine’s gotten terrible in my old age!) Back to you — I think I like the bottom left one. Your hair looks good in it too, and I like that purple top on you. :) It looks like you were possibly using a MacBook to take the picture…? ;)
Oh, and Glamour Shots would be a bad idea.
trick from the Golden Girls… Lean back…all the fat/wrinkles fall back and you look like you just had a face lift :-D
these are far better than glamour shots. glamour shots make people look old and fake. these are cute and genuine. :)
and as for good pics of myself, have you noticed that i’ve had the same pic on facebook for pretty much ever? and it’s purposely fuzzy. not a big fan of pictures of me.
Okay, I’m hoping you choose either the bottom middle or the bottom right for your new profile pic. lol! I am not pleased with my current pic, but haven’t gotten around to doing a photo shoot. And you’re right… I hate pictures of myself now, especially the older I get. I keep thinking maybe it’s the old digital camera we have. Yeah right! It will probably just have to be a random photo that someone takes of me that I end up liking. I used to think I just wasn’t photogenic, but now I’ve come to the conclusion that, that really is how I look. Ugh.
I hear you, Brenda! (I feel like that too!) I wanna tell you that I think you look good in the pictures I’ve seen of you though, but I know that probably won’t help, because it wouldn’t me. ;) I’d probably just think, ‘So you agree that that looks like me? Great…’ ;) (then again, I haven’t seen you in person, so I suppose it’s different;) It’s too bad we can’t see ourselves like other people do! (instead, I’m just worried others see me how I do;)

I instead have my talented sister take photos of me and then I photoshop the crap out of them. Hee!

I hate pictures of myself…I think I look like a goofball…and I openly complain about myself every time I see a pic…much to everyone’s annoyance I’m sure. I just try not to look at the camera…I’m passive-aggressive like that. :0
