Oh by the way, here’s what my house looked like just a few days after having it professionally cleaned:
Oh, to have someone else to clean my house every week! What’s your least favorite household chore?

One of my least favorite chores is scrubbing the showers. Soap scum, mildew, grim, calcium build-up… Yuck! Why does it come back so fast? I’m always afraid I’m going to knock myself out cold from breathing the toxic fumes of all the cleaners I need to use. And I’m not a big fan of having to use elbow grease. A maid service would be so nice.
I love those pink Duplos! When my son was little, we had a room that was suppose to be the dining room but we couldn’t afford the furniture, so it was empty for a long time. It ended up being permanently filled with toys. I named it Legoland. My mother was a nervous wreck at the sight of the clutter whenever she visited. The years zoomed by and now that room is always spotless. Kind of sad. I miss the Lego creations.
floors. yuck.
one of these days i’ll have to blog about my messy house. seriously your house will look spotless after seeing pics of mine!
This is nothing, Photo. :P I’d call that clean. :)
Brenda – I know several people who have turned a dining room into a play room – I think that’s a perfect use of space!
When I was a kid, I’d often get assigned to clean the bathroom. I remember being in TEARS more than once over the frustration of trying to get it clean. When you’re a kid, you just don’t have enough elbow grease for that!
I’m with you on floors, Erin. And honestly, these pictures do not show my house at its worst BY FAR!
I’m with Brenda – showers! Our shower is oversized, with tiny white textured tiles on the floor that grab and hold onto EVERYTHING. Scrubbing it is exhausting. A serious workout.
I also hate dusting, because it seems so futile.
Found your site through “hip mama”…I love the mess, but you had me at “five guys”!;)
Thanks for coming by, Nichole. I can guarantee there will be more messes and more food in the future! ;)
