Since I wrote about a “soundalike,” I just can’t resist talking a bit about lookalike celebrities. I love playing this game, you see, and my best friend (who indulges me and puts up with me saying, “See, see – they really do look alike!”) is out of town all summer. So, I need an outlet! I’ll just do a couple. Well, three. But that’s all, I promise.
Most Obscure Lookalike: Actress Michelle Monaghan (“Made of Honor“) and Dancer Courtney Galiano (“So You Think You Can Dance“)
They don’t really look alike, alike, but they really remind me of each other: Actor Seth Green (“Austin Powers“) and Actor Josh Gomez (“Chuck“)
And finally (for now), the one that fooled me good: Actress (and activist) Alicia Silverstone (“Clueless“) and Actress Maggie Lawson (“Psych“). I watched an entire movie one Saturday starring Maggie Lawson, and I swore it was Alicia Silverstone. My husband looked at the TV for a minute and said, “Hey, she looks like Alicia Silverstone, but her mouth is different.” And I said, of course, “Duh! It is Alicia Silverstone.”
Yeah. It wasn’t.
mel and i do celebrity lookalikes. i’ll say something like “guess who i saw at the grocery store today? viggo mortenson!” and she’ll reply “yesterday i saw bo bice at the library.”
that girl does look a lot like alicia silverstone… i know there are plenty i’m not thinking of, but here are a few: i often think keira knightly, natalie portman & wynona ryder look like they could at least be related; and i thought the girl on “my big fat greek wedding” (who plays the cousin, nikki) was julia louis-dreyfuss at first… i also think holly marie combs & neve campbell look similar
Yeah – I agree about Keira and Natalie. I don’t think Wynona looks like Keira as much as she does Natalie. Then again, I’m not looking at pictures, just going from memory.
Ha – in high school, my friends thought I looked like Neve Campbell (when we tried to think up who each of us looked like). I never saw it, but your comment reminded me of that!
nah, i don’t think you look like her, but who knows? what does the myheritage website say? i’ve tried it so many times thinking i should get sandra bullock but still haven’t, even though i’ve gotten people like ashley olson & christina aguilera (and several other blondes, as well as guys! grr!)

I did that heritage site, and it said I look like Christina Ricci. Which I don’t. She has a huge forehead. I have a short forehead. Big difference.

Me too. You know how in The Wedding Planner, MM says to Jennifer Lopez’s character, “She’s a poor man’s Mary” (after she sees her ex with a new wife)? Well, I always think Josh Lucas (is that his name? From Sweet Home AL?) is a poor man’s MM!
